Who Are We?

Vin Martello with daughter Eleanor About us

The non-partisan Property Tax Reform Task Force was founded by resolution of the Marbletown Town Board (Ulster County) in April 2004. The Town Board asked the Task Force to identify sustainable solutions to the problem of escalating property taxes.

Today, the Task Force is a founding member of the NYState Property Tax Reform Coalition, a statewide coalition of citizens, towns, municipalities, civic and professional groups, pushing for reform at the county and state level, and organizing grassroots support for tax reform.

Our members are people like you, worried homeowners - Pam Sagar (kitchen designer), Judith Gustafson (retired, Council on Foreign Relations), Jim Blair (lawyer), Doug Adams (financial advisor), Vaughan Smith (potter), Tony Gajate (retired, Verizon), Carole Kraus (art advisor) and Imre Beke (real estate broker).  Contact us
